A simple system of codes for Categories, Sub-Categories and Items makes it
easy to organize your inventory and process your orders.

You can use any four alpha-numeric characters for a category, and four more for
subcategories. There is a special sub-category, "0000", (four zeros),
which indicates a main category. Although we chose simple word
like categories, the program allows patterns like 0100, 0200, 0300, etc.. or AZ99,
MA42, the only reserved pattern is 0000.
After the category and subcategory, there is an addition code you can use to
designate an item number.
For instance, in the Item Code: "FISH-LURE-0001", the "0001" portion would
imply "Fishing Gear / Lures, item #1".
Using this system of 4-character codes, even if you used only numbers, (0000 to 9999),
this would allow for millions of items to be cataloged!
Let say you had 100 categories, with 100 subcategories each, and 100 items in each of those.
That's 1,000,000, (one million items)... all using only a 12 character item codes to index the items.
But, lets be realistic...
Chances are you need an online shopping cart to sell 40 to maybe
400 or so different items...
You don't want to pay all kinds of monthly services.
You want support if you need it, (and hopefully never do), and you
don't want to jump through hoops to get a bit of help.
